Find Your Place in Service
District 20 is modernizing, expanding our outreach, and preparing for an exciting new chapter! To help us grow sustainably without anyone having to carry too many hats, we are looking for members to join our team.
Our service roles fit into your busy life, and we strongly believe in matching your service to your current availability. Whether you can give one hour a month as an alternate or want to help lead a project, your presence makes a difference. We currently have primary openings in these core areas:
Functions Chair
Help bring our fellowship together! The Functions Chair works with district members to plan and support workshops, speaker jams, service events, and fellowship gatherings that strengthen unity and carry the message of recovery.
Alternates
A great way to get started in service. Alternate positions offer a low-pressure opportunity to learn, support district trusted servants, and step in when needed. Every district chair benefits from having an alternate.
GSR
General Service Representatives are the essential link between their home group, District 20, and Area 30. They carry their group’s voice to district discussions, participate in area assemblies, and vote on matters affecting A.A. as a whole. GSRs also bring valuable information back to their groups.
CPC / Public Information
Be the bridge between A.A. and the community. Help professionals and the public better understand what A.A. is, what A.A. isn’t, and how we can help the still-suffering alcoholic.
Area Committee Positions Available
These Area 30 committee positions are open and available for sign-up. These positions will help expand our reach across the Merrimack Valley as our crew grows. You will attend the committee monthly meetings and provide reports to District 20 on what the committee is working on.
Literature
Help put A.A. literature into the hands of those who need it. Coordinate Conference-approved books and pamphlets for district events and service activities.
Treatment Facilities
Carry the message into treatment settings. Work with local facilities to help connect those in treatment with the program of Alcoholics Anonymous.
Corrections
Bring hope behind the walls. Help coordinate A.A. meetings and volunteers for correctional facilities so the message of recovery reaches those who need it most.
